European Elections 2024
Europeans have elected 720 representatives who will become Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) during the next legislative term (2024-2029). The formation of the new parliamentary groups and the constitution of the new Commission will have an important impact on the future regulatory framework in the European Union and, as a result, on the implementation of public policies in Europe.
More than the half of the MEPs (367 out of 720) come from the five biggest EU Member States, i.e., Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Poland. For this reason, we analyze in this report not only the results and the impact of these elections at EU level, but also the political trends in these five Members State and their influence in the different political groups which will shape the new European institutional environment.
